The following is advice from and links for the Library:

We suggest the following language to encourage students to use

peer-reviewed and academic references, whether published in print or

on the web:

Do not use Google/Yahoo/MSN Search/etc. to find articles for

assignments in this course.

Do use any of the indexes and databases listed under Indexes and

Databases, Subject Resources, OneSearch or Metasearch on the

Library's website at http://www.library.ubc.ca

Not sure which index to use? Click HELP on the library homepage  or try Subject Resources.

Your subject liaison librarian would be pleased to suggest

additional or alternate wording appropriate to your

discipline. See

http://toby.library.ubc.ca/libstaff/subjectlibrarians.cfm>http://toby.library.ubc.ca/libstaff/subjectlibrarians.cfm

for a list.
